Replacement of an existing third-party actuator with a new AUMA SA 16.2 electric actuator and AC 01.2 intelligent controls on a DN1200 butterfly valve, installed in an underground shaft below a dam.
The scope included fabrication of a custom adapter to connect the new actuator to the existing valve gearbox, remote-mount installation of the controls unit, and full configuration of the end-position limits and open/close torque settings.
Scope of Work
- Supply of AUMA SA 16.2 multi-turn actuator with AC 01.2 intelligent controls — remote-mount configuration
- Custom adapter fabrication for connection to the existing butterfly valve gearbox (DN1200)
- End-position limit setting and open/close torque configuration
- On-site commissioning and functional verification
Remote-mount configurations separate the controls unit from the actuator body, allowing operators to access settings and diagnostics from a convenient location — particularly useful in confined or hard-to-reach installations such as underground dam shafts.
